Enrolment Policy and Process

The enrolment policy of Columba is that children who are baptized in the Catholic faith, living within the Parish are guaranteed a place in our school. Children who have a Catholic background (i.e. a Catholic parent or grandparent) will be enrolled if there are vacancies and after discussion with the Principal. Children who are not Catholic and have no Catholic background will be considered for enrolment with the approval of the Principal and the Parish Priest. Change of school from another local school cannot take place during the year but will be considered for the beginning of the next year, unless exceptional circumstances exist. Families moving into the area are very welcome to ring at any time to organise a tour.

Enrolment Process:

Information Booklets about Columba are made available through the local Kindergartens at the end of March and give an overview of the curriculum, school policies & vision plus details for the beginning of the new school year. If you wish to have a copy sent to you via mail please contact the school. Enrolments open in April and close at the end of July. To enrol at Columba, parents, along with the child to be enrolled, are asked to make an appointment to meet with the Principal, Jan Gubbins or Deputy Principal. Appointments can be made by contacting the school (5629 5933) and are combined with a tour of the school.
